Dogs hold a very special place in my life. Over the past 15 years I’ve successfully competed at the highest grade in dog agility and jumping (SADAA), as well as KUSA obedience and rally.
My passion is instilling an ethos of understanding, joy and teamwork in dog-handler teams.
I have completed the Dog Behaviour Course through the Ethology Academy as well as K9 Conservationist’s Conservation Detection Dog Handler Course. Dog training is a science, so learning never ends! My Border Collie, Skid, is also a Conservation Detection Dog. Learn more: Conservation Detection Dog Handler.

I am a member of the Q-Me Agility community, the Conservation Dog Alliance and the Kennel Union of South Africa.
My training approach and philosophy hinge on:
- Empathy,
- Working with the dog in front of you – listen, respect and respond accordingly,
- ForceFree training and the Humane Hierarchy,
- Joy! Training is about fostering a connection.
