
I am a conservation biologist with expertise in biodiversity assessments, scientific communication, and large-scale project coordination. I hold a MSc from the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology (University of Cape Town). I am experienced in data analysis (R, QGIS, SQL), and data management, and applying IUCN Red List methodologies. Skilled in field research across diverse ecosystems, including bird monitoring, tagging and ringing, and conservation detection dog surveys.
I have a strong background in stakeholder engagement, having coordinated multi-institutional teams, citizen scientists, and landowners, and publishing in both scientific and popular media. With experience working in academia and NGOs, I am able to combines analytical rigour with effective communication and leadership to bridge research, conservation action, and public engagement.
